Personally i'd get rid of the spear because no one uses it and the nord generally dies in cading areas and it takes up a large space.
Keep the axes as they are actually useful in many situations.

War Spears and the Fatsod's shields have been patched.
Queens Guard Shields should be equipable by Sargent and Commando characters.
