I believe (probably totally wrong, but anyway) that the amount of "kings favour" is the amount of gold deducted weekly from the house bank
kings favour is affected by number of members in the house (about 100per player I think..?)

Nah, you will pay 100 gold per day, Kings Favor IS the amount of players, but has nothing to do with the payment.

Perhaps the devs have increased the upkeep gold for houses. I see it as 36402 in the bank right now. We'll have to do some testing to figure it out.
