Check the stats in-game. The website stats aren't always correct.

The stats for the Elegant Crossbow. Also, the speeds you have listed at the crossbows is the speed of their projectiles, not the reload speed.

And I supposed you saw, they just upped the skill requirements for many of the crafting recipes. So, the guide is again, outdated.
