It seems as if there are no superior craftable helmets to the ones in the marketplace.

Are there any better helmets for Pikeman than those?

However when you hit heavy inf, you can use their helms ;P.

Except if you respecced to Pikeman and sold all your Commando stuff :

I think thegnezdo helmet is best pikeman armor.
