Log: it cant find the log called ni_updater.log. i tried to look for it with ctrl+f
also i tried to look everywhere and i cannot find it

I think that your problem has something to do with the problem in this topic:

As suggested by Winter, use the full mod downloader untill they fixed the auto updater.

Yup, getting the same. But as Winter said: it should be fixed soon.

Should have it fixed now. I've confirmed the new updater works now. Have not tested the old one but it should work also.
Just check for updates again and it should go through.
PS: If you are using the new updater and it crashes on launch or you are starting Warband and the launcher image is missing, delete main.bmp from your module folder and run the updater again.
