Ratchet & Clank from 2002 was the closest thing to an fps I can think of at that time for me. Hmm, maybe Battlefield Vietnam??
My first FPS must have been Wolfenstein 3D and DOOM, think I was 10 around the release of DOOM. I started playing FPS online when QuakeWorld dropped somewhere in 1996..97?.. on a fucking 33.6k dailup modem.

Mine too, 1993-1994.
Also Wolfenstein 3D. Played it at a friend's house since I didn't have a PC at the time (Amiga Forever).
Sure makes me feel like an old fart.
