eh the poll did it's job in showing what the community wants. however, it was probably just put in to humour the community rather than help in making a decision on the subject. probs time to accept that kiting is dead and will never be the same

After playing with the new maps for a while, I don't think kiting is dead. Still possible, but on different maps than before. It's the same with cading -- some maps get buffed while others are nerfed.

some maps are absolutely possible, i watched 2 people get to war marshal yesterday on hard(though i had to leave for an event so i did not see if they went farther)

I know this thread was made a while ago but to be honest I just wanted to give my opinion on the matter and I think I speak for a large amount of the community when saying this. Us Archers and Pikeman have our Athletics because they are less armoured than Crossbow and Commando even though I manage to kite with my Xbowman Tongue But my point of this is, what is the point of the Athletics if we cant use it? And having it is realistic as in as much as we are lightly armoured units and meant for fleeing the enemy if they get to close.

Kiting is fun and can be relaxing to come on and do. A large amount of the community enjoy doing this and it is a skill to be able to get to a high round with only 3 or 4 people. I agree that it is unfair if people kite when there are a lot of others trying to cade and for that reason I would not agree with kiting. But for just coming on for a bit of fun when you do not want to go into a full server then kiting should be something that is not totaly destroyed.

I do enjoy this mod a lot and it is one of my favorite games/mod to play. I would just hate to see the kiting element of the mod taken out and I believe this is because of a few situtations where people have kited when others are not which as I said before it is unfair of them to do so. But I think kiting should be kept in. Just wanted some other opinions on my post and would like to know if people think my point is fair enough. Thanks! Smile

This thread seems to be totally ignored by devs, another good kiting map has been lost since last map updates. Sad

Swadian Old Village? Hidden Cave has had a recent buff making it a good kiting map. Seems fair enough.

Still old village was the best one ....2 or 3 days ago 3 people including myself, made it to wave 17 on ragnarok and we could have gone for Odin, if we had saved a bit longer on Thor, to spawn in another barrel
