Nothing increases the damage of crossbows, t0 redshirt does the same damage with arbelast as chosen marksman. Weapon proficiency only increases your accuracy and reload speed.

The strength factor does not effect the damage of crossbows.

Correct. Redshirt accuracy with a repeater is entertaining.
As we have said however, all items stats are undergoing a comprehensive overhaul. I will not say if bolt stats are changing ('cause I'm an asshole) but I can promise everything is being looked at
