my suggestion would be to keep the orignal metal texture but add the engravings/markings over the top to see how it looks

I can't use original metal because on its texture there are plenty of swords.

Well maybe that would be the best, since people wouldn't really notice it this way. And I'd suggest to change the metal structure indeed, so it won't look rusty. I think the red ornamentation could work though Smile
