But the Volundr Great Sword is rarer and I think better. I know for sure that it's worth more.

There are only one of each ingame, and are both orange drops, so it's not a matter of rarity.
Most people seem to prefer the VGS, though I personally prefer the AGS now that the backswing problem is fixed, since both will tend to kill things in the same number of hits.

The choice is a matter of personal preference. VGS is sloghtly shorter, faster and does more damage. AGS has marginally greater reach. Both are fantastic weapons and I would pick the one that better suits your play style. However, the VGS is probably a bit better all round than the AGS plus is looks way better.
