ooo... this could actually be a great help.

Could help fund Advertisement fee's which include things like a Facebook / Twitter AD and so on.

Could also be things like a plushie of King Ragnar / Mugs / Pens / Mouse mats..

Too expensive and there will be too few sold.

Better idea than nothing. T-shirts are non-expensive and would be worthwhile.

The chance that you run into a person that already owns MBW and doesn't know about NI is very low. And no one is gonna buy MBW just for NI because he saw it on a someone's shirt. I think we should target the group that already owns MBW or get people to buy MBW but on the internet. For a T-shirt to be effective you need a large group of customers and also something that is new and that is worthwhile checking out.

Given that anyone with any clout on the internet sells t-shirts I'm sure there are people in this community that would buy one. And that at the very least would help keep NI running.

Why devs dont sell T-shirts? Money for servers Big Grin

RE: NI Advertisiment - Bobo - 07-06-2018

It seems to me Jalau is pretty much right. One should think on how to get to MBW owners interested in trying some new mod. The mod section of TW forum might be an idea. If one plays Native mod (or others) and meets some ppl there it is probably a good way to spread news, that's how Zawisza brought me to NI.

As to the T-shirts and similar, the problem is shipment cost, the NI players are spread all over the world. How do you make T-shirts in Germany and ship them to AU? Even between EU countries the shipment will cost 7 - 12 EUR... A better solution here might be to prepare the design and put it for download, one can print on T-shirts, cups, etc. locally for some small money. Still, like Jalau said, little point to advertise widely now while most ppl would have to buy MBW, a really aged game. That will be a way to go when (if?) Bannerlord arrives.

t-shirts are ok. but there is one simple step that in my opinion would improve number of donator base. If only devs would stop charge donators on AH

Nah that wouldn't be ideal, donators should not get any extra benefits towards the game apart from showing support by donating.
There needs to be Gold sinks and the AH is fine the way it is, if something costs a lot to put up on the AH we have a trading category in the forums.

Ironically donators can already evade the gold sink of respecialization costs by virtue of having donator status.

I'm not saying I disagree with you, but the precedent of donators being exempt from certain gold sinks is already set.
