In most cases, I'd say that soloing normal on your own isn't rhat much of a benefit. The real money's in hard mode, and what helps best in hard mode, and doubly so for normal, is for you to keep the rest of the team alive behind a shieldwall and a cade.
A commando with a good cade is the cornerstone of a team that gets far. Even if inf don't get many kills, they do often get to prince more often than any other class because they are such a necessity, and are far more wealthy because of it
That 1 more shield skill and the sinking of 50k into a heavy cade might not seem important, but these two things will allow you to go further with the team than any other stat.
