barricades- Blocking nords from going in a specefic direction, also makes less space for shielder, so nords won't get throught.
shielder- keeps nords at shielders location so they wont get throught barricades. Also makes Better slasher spots.
slasher- Kills the nords in a big masacre so they wont get throught barricades wich also means u get to the next round.
healer- heals the shielder if he/she gets injuried. And all the other players.

Shielding-Stand with shield up blocking Nords.
Slashing-Hitting Nords from behind shielder.
Healing-Using meds to heal fellow Swaidans.
Barricade Deployment-Placing barricades, deps, etc to stop Nords from going a certian position.

Depending what people you have on the server and which map it is, but here is my optimal setup:
Two to four shielders on the frontline (best szenario is where you can rely on only shielders instead of barricades), right behind the commandos which will slash with 50 percent blunt and cut, behind them the pikemen slashing, one permanent healer and the ranged(2 xbow one archer) supporting the shieldline protected by some deps and\or heavy cades.
Also you need special tactics for certain waves (e.g. Tricksters)
Just thought i throw that in here ^^
After the new patch released i will do a tactic with pictures for each map( for ragnarök mode).

What is a battle formation? Explain: A battle formation is a tactic used to kill/ hold back the nords the most efficient way.
You could shield in a tight enclosed area so that your ranged weaponry and your infantry/slashers may mow down your foes.
Healing the shielders if they need to change shields and get injured in the process.
Barricades to take a shielders job or cover a wider space so that your shielders can shield without having to worry about their side.
