[/quote]I doubt it was Intentional, Personally when I read that number I read it as October 5, 1996, I think most Americans would agree with me on that one, Just a different way of writing out the date. we almost always put the month first then the day " 5/27/1993" would be May 27th 1993, Or "12/6/1996" would be December 6th 1996.

Will have to agree with Genpuu that the non-American way is more logical. The date is the part that changes most frequently and shouldn't be in the middle. But seeing as this is an international forum, clarification is always a good idea.
Then again, the OP did state that his birthday was within the first 6 months of the year. You'd have to be a complete idiot to post a date from the latter 6 months as your guess.
