I would believe so otherwise there would be no point in one being in game. Also the strange sword doesn't slash faster than an assassins blade but a strange short sword does, so from a visual point of view, yes, it is faster, considerably, but also much shorter.

They have the same speed, but one is a one-hander and one is a bastard sword, which gets a speed/damage penalty if you use it with one hand.

2 quivers ftw. Commandos usually bring better stuff than you could ever bring and respawn for new stuff all the time. Otherwise, any nord weapon is good enough for blocking.

1. u can easily double your quiver by refilling...
2. u are the type of person that i laugh at when they die by assassins for not having a melee wep due to their laziness.
