And i don't see this being put in for ni, but when "ni 2" comes out for bannerlord is when i see something like this happening. This would take a lot of thought on what to call building and really balance the amount of mats or gold you were to get every week/day. (Would prefer weekly payouts.) I also think with a system like this it should be directly integrated with the crafting system. You would need to own a blacksmith in order to make a sword or axe etc. For something like processed wood you would need both a lumber yard and mill. I think a system like this would add to the whole team play part of the game. Houses could combine what type of buildings everyone owns so that everyone in the house could use it but the person who owns it would still get their own payout. This is obviously very broad and needs much more thought into it though. Re: Passive Production Enterprises - DrWhoCares - 25-02-2016 I'm still working on this, albeit my original version. If I get it hashed out I'll post it here perhaps. I like this idea but it should be noted that it should accompany the game, rather than be a new branching path of playing. Re: Passive Production Enterprises - Horakti - 25-02-2016 Tried some example rather than paint Re: Passive Production Enterprises - DrWhoCares - 25-02-2016 Drop the idea of the factory. There is no incentive to constantly spend gold to create something out of nothing. All you're doing is creating a huge gold sink for a negative profit. Instead explore the idea of hiring a worker to increase something. But more importantly, what needs to be created is a labor system. How does a worker produce labor? How is this labor system exploit proof (don't make people spam accounts), how does this labor system promote equality (Nka shouldn't be able to just make more money, but a fresh redshirt should be able to make a profit that matters). I haven't had time today, but I'm exploring this further as I stated and I'll write up what I come up with whenever I finish it. Re: Passive Production Enterprises - Sunman - 25-02-2016 (Everyone keep in mind we are only throwing ideas around and I cant stress this enough NONE of this is final) I really feel that the Labor system would not work there is so many ways to exploit it. I feel that there is a need for something to be put in Either materials, Gathering on a server, or even something like a clicker game. However I think the gathering server would work best because at this point with the small(But good) player base we have the afk labor system wouldn't work. and redshirts cant really make money off of it BUT in the "gathering server" idea redshirts could make money. No. This is final. Re: Passive Production Enterprises - DrWhoCares - 25-02-2016 The labor system I am talking about is the exact opposite of a "afk labor system". It's more along the lines of you have to do something in game to produce labor. However this breaks too many other rules of the system (redshirts don't get kills, nka does, so redshirts don't produce labor then). It seems you want "equality" but don't want everyone to benefit equally, are you a feminist by chance?..or maybe just a socialist. Either way I think this has started to go off topic and the factory idea should not be "dropped" because the purpose of this thread is to discuss the factory idea. If you want to discuss making some type of new labor system then make a new thread. Re: Passive Production Enterprises - Kaasovic - 25-02-2016 Is it really nessesary to develop shortcuts now? Just look at the old players, they got rich by PLAYING the game(including trading), and not by some sort of shortcut bs, that the lazy players suddenly come up with. |
