The point is that stats don't have to be a smooth line upwards. Some bots have higher speed than other of the same wave (serks are way harder than brutes for example), some more armor, and some more damage. This makes sure you have a bit of variety in your bots, not just every wave is a teensy bit stronger than the last.

Will take another look after 0.5.0. I personally don't feel like this is that big of an issue.
