Possibly, but it would be incidental.
Regardless, you first attributed higher loot chance (though you probably mean distribution) to shielders due to their deaths being the cause of wipes. Then you attributed its higher loot chance (though, again, you probably mean distribution) due to their longevity. These are two different statements; I am merely pointing this out.

They mean the same thing
RG tend to have longer lives and less bots tend to die when they are dead
Meaning more loot chance then normal killing players

I'm anticipating that I will regret asking this question: if that's what you meant, then why did you bring up wiping, particularly RGs dying being a precondition (which implies it happens first, and then being ineligible for drops for the subsequent kills in this time period)?
