That error happens when you use the cRPG launcher because it uses 1.143 operations, which does not include operation # 2090.

Another option for those with limited bandwidth/slow connection: (Only ~2.7MB!)
Replace the mb_warband.exe and fmodex.dll files in your main Mount&Blade Warband folder with the ones in the rar archive below.

Disable automatic updates and play normally.

You don't even need to overwrite it if you want to leave the files alone. Just rename them to mb_warband_old.exe and fdodex_old.dll. Then launch the game from the mb_warband_old.exe.
Apparently, the presence of these forces WSE to use that version instead of the installed version (from the Taleworld's forum site).
no need for a 2nd install, no need for C-RPG (since they are on an older version).
Just did it and it works. No key problems (Steam).

Hey.. I know how to get the older warband version to work with that small update. But when I try to replace the files it says I don't have permission. Anyways to get around that?

Are you trying to copy the files directly from the rar to the Warband folder? If so, try copying them to the desktop first and them moving them from the desktop to the Warband folder.

Unless you are one of the people running the stand-alone version for NI and the Steam version for native and other mods.
