Oh wait.. http://forum.nordinvasion.com/index.php?topic=307.0.html Re: C-RPG - Sphinx - 25-12-2011 Honestly , if I'm driving a Toyata Tercel and you offer me to drive a BMW , I'll take the BMW ... So if I'm playing cRPG and you offer me to play Nord Invasion .. I'll play Nord Invasion Re: C-RPG - SeQueL - 30-12-2011 SeQueL_BRD here. BRD pretty much quit cRPG (I don't blame em) and so did I. Found this mod and play this instead now. Hazaah Re: C-RPG - Tomba - 31-12-2011 Occitan_Tomba here!! brought a couple occitans to play this mod (3-4 yet.. more to come). motivation is lacking for crpg, which is normal after 1000+++ hours spent on it x.x hello fallens/brd! : 8) Re: C-RPG - Ethaor - 05-01-2012 Yup, used to play C-Rpg too, but after a few months i just left, the dev's choices in balancing their mod drew me away and grew tired of the grind to even hope compete against vets who heirloomed like 30 times.. N.Invasion still has some grind but at least here the archery is similar to warband native Plz don't let NordInvasion be too inspired by Crpg, it should be the other way around, if there was anything to take from crpg, nordIvasion already has it. Re: C-RPG - Isatis - 05-01-2012 I play c-rpg, you have to like the troll way of dev, but overall it's funny but lack some funkyness, i'm working on it... Won't claim to be a ace player, because I'm not But I ran without any heirlooms for about 2 weeks and was actually surprised how little difference it made, I enjoyed the game more as well because I wasn't being "forced" to wear my usual gear and felt it easier to try new things. And with the latest Heirloom balance this is even more the case, just a small bonus to stuff you enjoy using, far from anything game breaking. In closing. Stay away from cRPG and play NI instead : Or play both, both are excellent mods in my opinion. Re: C-RPG - Senni - 09-01-2012 I agree with above, Heirlooms didn't make it impossible to fight fully heirloomed players (for a long time I only had my loomed 2h), heck I could even beat phyrex and bjord sometimes Re: C-RPG - Ethaor - 10-01-2012 Yup i agree it isn't something that is game-breaking, just something that slowly drove me away from C-Rpg, i exclusively played an archer though, the C-Rpg experience varies a lot given you are ranged or melee specialized. I know that in Archers duels those heirloomed bows just "out speeded" me so i had to pre load, wait, make them miss and only then shoot, to catch up with their bow speed, had some pretty epic duels. And against other players well, anything beyond mail armor i just had to pray someone already took my target down to 10% hp so my arrow could kill the player. That is if i connected the hit with that insanely slow arrow speed the devs cherished so much at the time. But even then there were quite an amount of melee chars complaining about the number of arrows flying over their heads, so they kept nerfing archery and at some point I just left cause I didn't have that archery feeling I was seeking, I didn't care much about my k/d ratio but at some point the archery felt so different from native that I just left. I stopped playing like early last year though so I don't know how they balanced it all out now. I had a good time in this mod though, spent a fair amount of time in it, a couple hundreds hours give or take. So don't get me wrong, i like C-Rpg. : |
