Same thing happened to me. I'll say what he is trying to say.
Upon seeing that Apprentice was open for 15k Asst. XP, I bought it. After buying it; the box did not turn green indicating that I have that skill, but the upgrade button has gone and so has my 15k Asst. Xp.

Just the button that doesn't change color, everyone still has their class. Will look into it when I get home from work.
