hey,

i am wanting to try and put pictures of my map i have made onto the forums to see what people say about it. one thing is i don't know how to do spoilers or insert images. well i know where insert image is but i dont understand what to do with it. ([img][/img])

if there is another thread that i have missed that tells you how to do this then sorry, but it would be nice to have a user guide i think.

Okay you know how to take a picture of your screen? Assuming you do i will take you to the next step.

How to post pictures:

First you need to upload your picture to an online picture hosting server. I recommend using imgur, ImageShack or Puush(Lets you capture and area and upload it instantly, but limited usage, installed on computer)

Now that you have the image uploaded to a third party hoster, you will need to insert it on the forum post.

Doing this you need to click the image button,

[Image: 3kuH3.png]

Now you will get this:

[img][/img]

Now you put the image link (I used http://puu.sh/3kuH3.png in the above ones)

Simply you just

Code:
[img]http://puu.sh/3kuH3.png[/img]

with the image link between the []s

Spoilers:

A spoiler is a "folder" where you can hide something or compress a post where you dont get everything in the face at the same time. This can make a post alot simpler.

If you place a spoiler in your thread, after you click the button you will get this:

[spoiler][/spoiler]

Inside the spoiler you want the pictures am i right? then you simply put the image link with the code inside it.

[spoiler][img]http://puu.sh/3kuH3.png[/img][/spoiler]

Now you will get this:

To change the name of your spoiler, you simply change the prefix of the spoiler by just adding a = and the name, here is an example:

Gismo, if you use the first img button it gives you [*img]

Ok, so i print screened my map. And have chosen to do the http://imageshack.us/ website. but i cant seem to upload the images there.
is there an easy way of doing it or am i just retarded and taking the wrong screen shots.

For imageshack, you need to make an account, then select the folder you've saved your screenie in, and then upload it. Simple as that!
