Bannerlord Screenshots released. - Punishment™ - 27-09-2013

Taleworlds just launched http://www2.taleworlds.com/ which contrains screenshots of their upcoming game Bannerlord.

Incase the site doesnt load for you (because of the extreme load it is having right now) you can check a couple of screenies here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.690204374342231.1073741825.108479395848068&type=1

Thoughts , opinions?

Looks like a great improvement graphical wise to me , there are still some flaws but this might still be some early stuff.

Looks great, but my crap laptop won't be able to run it well Sad

Hm, it's not as good looking as I had expected it to be. But then again, it's very early footage. I dunno, as long as they add a lot of those brilliant ideas found here (takes long to load, that link), and some nice destructable enviroments, it should be fine by me. Smile

Re: Bannerlord Screenshots released. - Tee - 28-09-2013

^ Yeah I was also surprised with the look,

But I suppose if the graphics are well optimized (unlike warband lol!) then we could see some proper 1000+ unit battles, which would be amazing!

seriously, I still have the original M&B  installed just to play the LOTR mod from time to time - I use an extra mod to ramp battle size up to 600 men and then it's just breathtaking, especially since that LOTR mod includes formations and stuff so your shieldwall crashes into the enemy shieldwall and the archers fire together in a line and the cav charge the flanks in a wedge.... *drools*

Can't wait to see how this turns out Big Grin

Re: Bannerlord Screenshots released. - Maroon - 28-09-2013

One of the things I want to see most of all is larger maps (a lot larger, for the NW players amongst us, at least the size of the Ardennes map, and that's for the smallest maps), and an immense increase in unit scale, like Tee mentioned. I know bigger battles already is possible in Warband, but the maps and engine aren't quite meant for battles with over 500 men.

Oh hell yeah, some of those NW maps are just brilliant.
And it would be so sweet if they can make the engine support huge battles natively - cos although it can be done as I've mentioned, it does end up crashing quite a bit
Big maps, big battles, bring it Taleworlds!
