Buying Weapon Proficiency - TerrorBite - 13-12-2013 I've seen several topics on increasing weapon proficiency by fighting or leveling up but none on only purchasing weapon proficiency (I checked more thoroughly this time). Let's say 1 proficiency costs 500k and someone has all of the best items but has the second best body armour and is a royal guard with 200 one handed proficiency. Increasing to 250 proficiency would cost 25 mil. I have no clue but this may be the equivalent to an upgrade from the second best to the best body armour. It shouldn't make anyone overpowered because that would just mean that it's too cheap so the price could be 1 mil instead of 500k. Some effects may be less money in the game, a greater separation between people with 10 mil and 100 mil, giving Swadians the potential to become as powerful as Nordic bosses (however long it takes), and people being more reliant on single characters. Re: Buying Weapon Proficiency - Handef_Snizel - 13-12-2013 This idea wouldn't get off the ground If for example, a very rich player spends 10 million on one handed proficiency, the difference would be abysmal and the player would be broke And this would only apply to someone that had fully decked out gear (Imperial, Valsgarde, Studded, Durendel, SoK, FoF) which as far as I know nobody has yet, because that would cost hundreds of millions. Nobody has the money to spend on purchasing a hardly noticeable upgrade... Re: Buying Weapon Proficiency - TerrorBite - 13-12-2013 well if it's cheaper to increase proficiency this wouldn't be a problem... Re: Buying Weapon Proficiency - Handef_Snizel - 13-12-2013 If it were cheap richer players would walk around like Thor and the game would lose purpose Re: Buying Weapon Proficiency - TerrorBite - 13-12-2013 then it wouldn't bee too cheap but not too expensive! A price where the upgrades are balanced for the richest of players to use it. Re: Buying Weapon Proficiency - Handef_Snizel - 13-12-2013 Again, people would be more focused on gear (13-12-2013, 02:56 AM)Handef_Snizel link Wrote: (Imperial, Valsgarde, Studded, Durendel, SoK, FoF) which as far as I know nobody has yetAnd that would take months, and that's only for the commando tree, nobody would ever find the time or money to spend on proficiency Re: Buying Weapon Proficiency - TerrorBite - 13-12-2013 if they both have different positives i don't see why 'people would be more focused on gear' and if this feature was used people may not need 4 main profiles but 1 main with 3 less used profiles. It is more about preference so this feature may appeal to more people than not having it. Re: Buying Weapon Proficiency - Handef_Snizel - 13-12-2013 ok lets do some thinking you have a choice! 25 mil for 250 proficiency which makes you swing your sword a BIT faster or 25 mil to spend on say swadian halfplate + fearsome which would allow you to live for SO much longer over all modes, even with my recent upgrade to trans I have noticed the difference in arrows+sword hits taken Im not even sure if anyone HAS 25 million stored away. And if they did I could almost guarantee you they wouldn't spend it on a slightly faster sword swing Re: Buying Weapon Proficiency - TerrorBite - 13-12-2013 well if no one would go for the WP it should be cheaper although: the grinder has 60 protection for relatively no money the fearsome has 73 protection for around 10 mil with that money i could choose either the 13 head protection or 20 WP if it's 500k for each increase: I would go with helmet if each increase is 300k i could get 33 WP: i would go with WP Re: Buying Weapon Proficiency - Handef_Snizel - 13-12-2013 hahaha we are stuck in a loop If it is too expensive noone will go for it If it is not too expensive the servers will be full of Thors and Odins in the form of players I do not see anyway that this idea could get off the ground |
