get urself a swadian heavy lamellar or the striped armor would be my advice, they both cost around the 250k ish so not that expensive

depends what level you are
if you are 50+ get SHC
if less go for heavy lamellar or striped

Handef, I'd say he should go for the SHC regardless of level 50 or not. If he isn't level 50, it will take a while to gather ~650k worth of gold to buy both a SHC and a set of striped armor by the time he gets to level 50 since generally players will be spending assist XP on melee.
