So with the next patch dropping sometime tomorrow evening, I came across the realization that i need to come up with 50~ new troop types, which in itself is a massive undertaking! So I thought, why not ask the community
We need different troop types for every tier from peasant to huscarl!Post your best troop type suggestions, including:
- troop name
- weapon types
- armor types
- difficulty (easy, hard etc.)
- misc
e.g.
- Swadian Deserter
- Two Hander
- mail/red
- medium-hard
- should be a strong hitting two hander wielder, but vulnerable to range
Please note, not all suggestions will be included in the game as enemies, but we will try to fit as many as we can in

- Peasant Cavalry
- Sickle, stones, knives, riding on donkeys and goats (or just ponies
)
- Tunics/rawhide
- Easy+
- Basically farmers riding out on their farm animals. Maybe no polearms such as pitchforks since that would make them too tough
- Nord Lunatics
- Hammers
- Naked, lots of health though
- Easy/Medium
- The Nords gave their local idiots mauls and sledgehammers and sent them out as stormtroops, should be vulnerable but mostly to melee
- Nord Raiders
- All leather armour types, iron helmets
- Good axes, weak shields
- Medium
- Nord Priests
- Monk robes
- Staves (also iron)
- Easy
- Another easy troop...I'll think of some tougher ones
- Hired Blades
- Crossbows/Board Shields/Arming Swords
- Errr...something inbetween chainmail and plate
- Medium/Hard
I'd suggest Sarranid/Rhodock/etc. mercenaries but I don't think they would fit in well with 'Nord' Invasion

- Polearm/possible two handed farm weapon
- Naked
- Easy
- This farmer is taking it personal. Filled with rage, he didn't have the time to get properly dressed but spent more time getting and improving a weapon. His rage makes him hitting harder, but in his rage he is restless, making him forget about his vulnerability.
Pretty much a prefix added compared to the other peasants. More PS, less IF, bit more WPF and better (farming) weapon. I'd say give him 4/5 xp, but only make 2-5 spawn each round.

- only pike. They will be very hard for meles and cavs
- Nord Master Archers
- Warbow
- Nordic Huscarl's Helmet, Mail and Plate blue
- Hard
- They will only use bow.They are HS lovers. players have to sneak to get close to them
- Hired Assassins
- Scimitar ,Elite Scimitar(boss) , throwing daggers (for some of them like 5x)
- Light Leather, Sarranid Warrior Cap, Vaegir War Mask(for boss),Light Leather Boots
- medium
- they are very very fast , they can run like horses ;D
- Nord Heavy Brutes
- Great hammer, Pole hammer(boss)
- Mail Hauberk,Full Helm(boss),Mail Coif
- medium or hard
- They have high HP but no shield
I think bamboo spears are OP chaning it with warspear would be good.

misc: The nords get fed up so they send there best jarls over to kill you.
troop name: Nord Ulfsark
weapon types: Axes (2H, Polearm, 1H)
armor types: Light
difficulty:Easy/Medium
misc:The collectors of the nords
(Yes these two are from AoM, yes I love that game :3)

Nord Berserkers
No armor or some really light armor
2h Axes/ Fast 1h swords+shields mixed
Fastest attack speed
They can kill easily and can be killed easily
Huginn and Muninn (2 manned stage)
Odin cant be bothered with pitiful struggles of men. So, he sends his loyal servants instead.
Full Black Armor and Winged Helmets
Black Horses
Black Lances 1h Hammer(something like thor's hammer) and Shield
Valkyries
Female Warriors
Light Armor
Light Cav
Spear+Shield
I like how AI use spears in Brytenwalda mod I would like to see something like that in this mod too.

Misc: Fearsome warriors who originally fought as bodyguards of Emperors. Has a penchant for alcohol.

haha, i am saving all the norse gods/mythology for the fabled hard mode .. which i have kinda put on the back burner, but i promise i will make at some point, and yes Thor with his hammer will be there
