So Birdtalon's post above already spells this out and frankly educated me. His is entitled "Don't get scammed - Be aware on the Auction House!" But I logged in this am to see, for example, one individual selling Quality Grindstone for 2,000 gold, and his and this was not the only example. Under goods in the Market Place you can buy this for 25 gold and a bunch of similar items.
