The best gear for you its marketplace stuff (for T2) :p. If you have a bit more cash you can buy (for T3) grinder helmet and sks,the best weapon is Dragon Axe i think. Hope that help

Best affordable t3 inf wep would probably be steel sword? If not ill just tell u what i used a long time ago, i used the grosse messer and at some other point a steel broad sword

Armor and weapons feel super important at this point especially if this is your first character but the best investment you can make is to throw some of your xp into leveling your support class and then get yourself a med box, barricade, or some such thing. This will lead to more successful runs -> more xp -> more gold -> overall better gameplay!

If your t3 get
Armor:
Grinder(50k)
Heavy highlander armor(30k)
Ornate hourglass(20-30k)
Market place boots(?)
Weapons:
Steel sword(40k
Swadian kite shield(50-60k)
Strange great sword(40k)[only get this if you like 2hander weps or slashing when I was t3 the steel sword was fine]
