The Story Of "Looters":A Forgotten People - Looter - 08-11-2014 My Time Is Running Short, soon age will catch up with me and i will go to my ancestors, but before that, i will retell the story of my forefathers, the story of a now forgotten people.
"We Were Once A Proud And Wealthy People. We Did not always roam the countryside, wandering to never find a home. Long Before, During the times of the Old Calrdian Empires collapse, my Forefathers had as had so many others set up independent kingdoms throughout the old lands. We had chosen the lands of the coast near the north, our borders stretching to the rivers and mountains surrounding us. We were prosperous for many years, fishing and trading at our great ports and sailing throughout the seas nearby. We set up many great cities, our streets were lined with stalls of the finest silks, spices, and commodities one could have ever seen, every man from the highest lord to the lowest serf had more than enough to eat. Our people were specialists in the sport of discus throwing and of the javelin, its been told that one of our best champions of the time could hit a mark more than 600 yards away. Life during these times were of prosperity and Peace and this would go of for a hundred years, however, something changed. The Nordic People from across the seas to the north, who had long rowed the ships of the old Calrdian Emperor, had now returned from their homelands, hungry for the wealth of our people and for our land. With them, they brought the ancient great warships of the empire which had long vanished since the collapse, as well as legions of sea raiders who pillaged our ports and towns. Our merchant vessels and militias stood no chance to the invaders, and we were massacred. Our towns and ports were looted then burned, the Nords wanted to entirely remove all traces of us and set themselves up as the "original" owners. We had petitioned nearby kingdoms for aid and troops, we even offered the Eastern mercenaries great amounts of gold to defend us, but it was for naught. Not one man, kingdom, or people would help us, they were entrapped in their own fears of what would happen to them should they send aid. So, we were destroyed and driven out, our people forgotten and removed from the history books and from the land itself. Some of us had managed to move further north to a town called Zendar, that bordered what is now Nordic land and The Kingdom of Vagirs, however this was not to last, as they sea raiders employed by the Nords were persistant in removing every last trace of our people's blood from the world, and that town was sieged by a great hoard of them and burned down. With their deaths came the loss of the last concentration of my ancestors blood, and we were scattered throughout the land, forever to wander and scavenge pitifully. We were now always to remember the great feasts of old while we hungered, we were to remember the great bundles of cloth and silk while we froze to death in the great tundra's and forests."
"Now however, this story leads to what is now happening. The Nords eventually, seeking greater wealth and lands, began to look to the farms of the Kingdom of Swadia, The Mountains of the Rhodok Republic, and the Iron Mines of the Kingdom of Vagirs, all of which had in the old times refused to aid my people when they needed it the most. All of these nations were invaded by the Nords, two of them succumbing to the might of the Nords, and the other one on its knees, struggling to this day to hold off the increasing waves of Nordic Raiders.. Now no one would be here to aid them, no one to stop them from killing their people as the Nords had killed mine..." Re: The Story Of "Looters":A Forgotten People - TheCakeIsNotAPie - 08-11-2014 you will be destroyed Re: The Story Of "Looters":A Forgotten People - Chuckwagon - 08-11-2014 Did you write and come up with that all on your own? Pretty creative of that's the case. Re: The Story Of "Looters":A Forgotten People - Looter - 08-11-2014 The story pretty much came up to me a couple of days ago in parts and pieces. I just used a couple of references on locations and Zendar's placement from the M&B Wikia, as well as inspiration about the Nords having rowed the emperors ships from there too. One day though, my people will reclaim our lands, one day we will get our revenge..
