Greetings. For some reason my character sheet on the website says I am level 1, even though I am level 23. I still have all my stuff and skills, but the character sheet is not showing it. I recently changed my account name, but it worked fine afterwards.

Check the character sheet of the what you just renamed the guy to.

This has happened to all my characters as well since the update/ downtime. Also happened to everyone I've spoken to. Lost items, money, and xp

Take a look again, the website displayed an earlier version, but its back to the most updated now.
