Overhead Spear Thrust - Displeased_Peasant - 27-08-2012
Since swapping to pike man I've noticed it's pretty to useless to have a polearm that benefits from thrust damage since it's very difficult to actually hit enemies and avoid hitting teammates while in a shield wall. So I thought maybe instead an overhead thrust could be added similarly to how they have it in mods such as Vikingr (press x and thrust changes to overhead) or the Napoleonic Wars expansion, allowing players to reach over teammates shoulders and small walls, etc.
I feel like having a feature like this would make pikeman much more useful when shieldwalls are formed, especially on cramped maps and perhaps a lot more players would be more satisfied with the class.

The power of polearms base on their length so they can slash "between" their mates.
As a pikeman you dont need to stab because the overhead slash move is perfect when youre mates allow you to do it.

Depends on the weapon, obviously halberds wouldn't need this.
Spears and pikes (the one with 245 length) would benefit from this though.

Yes I meant for spears or pikes that have more thrust damage than swing damage.
