We established a trade and when it was accepted it cleared and didn't go through even though we got the messages. Now future trades between us just say that a trade is already open.
Can this be cleared so we can trade again?

Trade accepted does not mean that the trade is completed. "Trade accepted" is just a prestage.
Have you considered that? Also, you may sometimes forget to add the ticked items ("add" button).
This is a possible reason for the cleared trade.
Look at your trading panel, left side. There's this tag: "Active trades". You should find the name of your trading partner there.

I understand the trading system. I've done 7 trades since with others. No trade can be started between these 2 characters from either account. At the current above state I send an invite to Zanice and get:
You already have a trade open with that character!
As you can see I do not. This is a bug.

This is a rare bug that I've seen a couple times in the past but have not tracked down yet. Trade status reset.

thanks it's fixed. We were setting up our trades at the same time on our phones. It could have caused a conflict.
