How Agility and Strength work in game for infantry. - Paulex - 02-10-2012

Hello,
I am interested in how exactly Strength and agility work in game for infantry.

I assume Strength allows you to hit harder.
I assume agility allows you to jump higher.

My questions are:
1. Does agility help you swing your sword faster?
2. Do they affect anything else in game?

Thank You

Agility makes you move around faster as well I think.

Str increases your raw damage and hp(+1hp for each) if i'm not mistaken. Agility increases your max speed and might help you speed up faster a bit, but atletic's more important on that (dont forget weight also slows you down). Also i think agility doesn't effect your swing speed in warband. Weapon skills does that if i remember it right.

ps. Anyone is welcomed to fix if i say something wrong.

Strenght increases your hp by +1hp for each. I heard it increases damage too, but I can't confirm and I don't think so.
Agility allow you to swing faster indeed, +0.5% for each. Agility also increases your running speed but I don't know what's the percentage for this (maybe 0.5% too ?) .

Quote:(dont forget weight also slows you down)
If I remember well, 0.44% speed reduction per 1 unit.

I knew i remember what i said from somewhere for agility, check the posts under the half of first page and 2nd page Wink. No increase for swing speed by agility. But walking into your swings or turning into your swings makes you hit your oppenent faster for sure; although its not stats related, its related with your skills with a mouse and keyboard.

Yep I totally agree, but ...

I'm pretty sure it does increase swing speed. I could be wrong but I honestly think it does (saw that in Native).
But I'll create a charac with 5000 Agility in Native, to test it.

Each strength point increases HP by 1. Agility increases movement speed. Contrary to what the game manual apparently says, it does not increase attack speed.

This seems to be the case, from ingame testing.

In addition, each strength point adds 1/5 of a raw damage point on bows/melee/throwing but not crossbows after your base damage damage is multiplied by power strike, proficiency, and holding bonus.
