That's good news to hear Bannerlord is coming. Still, it will probably take some time until NI for Bannerlord will launch. Also, there's been too many announcement of Bannerlord coming out in some months in the past. I'll see it, I'll touch it, I'll believe it.

why not try to set up a longish term event where players use nothing but a new character which you play every week or when ever ,like the fluffy events yuri tried to do a year or two ago

Sounds like it would be a good idea to reset and have us all on equal playing ground again. But imagine the amount of time people have put into this mod. Grind, after grind for years in some players' cases and without breaks. I don't think I would bother to do it again with new real life commitments as a lot of us have finished school and started careers since starting NI. As well as Bannerlord (crosses fingers) is supposed to released this year, and I know probably not realistic but an NI Mod for Bannerlord to follow shortly after.
As many have stated, economy is ruined and many other good 'equalizing' ideas/reasons to this, but I'd have to say leave it how it is.

Coconut you missed the tweet where Cpt.Luat stated Bannerlord is NOT likely to be released in any form this year.
Look to 2017, not 2016.
Looking over the posts, I can see why many do not wish for a reset. Too much time has already been committed for it to be taken away. So I suppose if other things are done to rebalance the economy [im not sure exactly how, maybe What Nka said regarding more marketplace default prices on mats] then that can work while people keep their stuff till Bannerlord.
