alternate times of day - freiwulf - 06-01-2012 iv been pondering on this idea whilst playing and thought id bring it here as this is what this area is for so here goes four different time states of the day starting from dawn all the way to night heres it how i thought it could be dawn :- a distant sunrise and a low fog afternoon :- a strong sun partially cloudy bright visable map evening :- cloudy (maybe raining) night :- bright moon clear sky torchs around valuable spots (like shrines and things like that) thanks for reading this is one of many ideas i have but one i have really thought about Re: alternate times of day - Kirby/Kirbalicious_666 - 07-01-2012 That sounds like an excellent idea! Things like fog and rain would definitely decrease visibility, giving an obvious disadvantage to archers. Of course, it would be deleterious to infantry and cavalry alike -- though the side effects wouldn't be as obvious (e.g. not knowing every direction of the enemy approach). If the bots had equal troubles aiming through fog, then it might work better. Currently, the fog on mountain pass allows enemy rangers to fire at you from their spawn while your friendly archers are given no recourse. |
