Update to Snake Halberd Stats? - Kura - 28-04-2018

Been wondering why the stats on a Snake Halberd are so low compared to a Swadian Halberd.

Stats and Crafting materials are insanely unbalanced for the Snake Halberd.

Stats Compared:

Snake Halberd

Speed = 95
Length = 157
Swing Dmg = 45
Thrust Dmg = 35
Usable by = Pikeman + Pikeman Hero

Swadian Halberd

Speed Rating = 91
Length = 180
Swing Dmg = 56
Thrust Dmg = 35
Usable by= Heavy Skirmisher / Pikeman + Pikeman Hero

Crafting Materials:

Snake Halberd
  • 4 x Quality Charcoal 

  • 70 x Hardened Metal 

  • 50 x Sturdy Wood 

  • 10 x Wood of Glasir 

  • 30 x Dye 

  • 20 x Handle 

  • 10 x Processed Wood 

  • 4 x Strap
Swadian Halberd
  • 20 x Quality Charcoal 

  • 4 x Quality Grindstone 

  • 15 x Hardened Metal 

  • 3 x Wood of Glasir 

  • 40 x Blade Shard 

  • 15 x Handle 

  • 10 x Processed Wood
In my opinion the Swadian Halberd is the more superior option here as the stats are much higher than the Snake halberd, you only lose out on 4 Speed but gain a huge length plus swing dmg output.

The material cost and stats are very unbalanced and i think they should be switched around making a Swadian Halberd a Light blue craftable and the Snake halberd a Green.

This is only my opinion, feel free to express your own.

I must say I really enjoyed Snake Spear before I got legendary polearm. Swadian Halberd is on lvl 14 of crafting and T3 while the Snakes are on 17 and T4. It seems they are supposed to be better. On the other hand they are cheaper to craft... But yeah, I think they might get some buff.

i'm pretty sure that the snake halberd recently lost ~10c and gained some speed on the update that adjusted weapon reaches. i found it to be a pretty big nerf, so you may have been referring to before the update when you enjoyed it. It still feels strong, but no longer gives the same melee feel as inf 2h have (as the rest of the polearms appear to provide).
