would be amazing for the sheilders if they could do something other than just hold the left mouse button/block for ages. could be class specif and melee xp. just a thought

Here is an alternative:
1. hold down the shield button
2. press 't', 'y', or 'u'
3. stop holding down the shield button
4. with your newly liberated hands, apply lotion to the skin
But more seriously, as Hablam has said, it's been suggested before. I'm all for having new stuff for commandos, and I'd be interested in seeing how such an addition would change play-styles.
