a little specialisation for Royal Guards Idea - Kriegstofu - 25-06-2019 Zweis have 2h Stabbing Mode Juggs have DMG reduction Legio has throwies and light armor and 1h RG has better armor and better shielding. Let it have shield bash! being in a tight spot, a shield bash knocks down an enemy (like big shot). as RGs are too heavy to run out of a difficult situation, why not let it bash its way out (with maybe some additional damage depending on shield resistance) normal keybind like Q or something like this (as most mods place it on a right click left click combo, which can be bad if you backpedal while shielding&attacking) so whaddaya'll think of this little idea? If you have ever played cRPG, you can 'strike' someone and stagger them, similar to a shield bash - I would implement something like this and replace kicking (E) with it, seeing as how kicking isn't very useful any more, and is hard to land a solid hit. With a new animation that wouldn't stop the player's movement, striking an enemy would be a valid tactic and add a little more depth to active melee. On to shield bashing - if you have a shield equipped, your 'strike' turns into a shield bash, and instead of staggering the enemy, it knocks them down. Bosses would be unaffected by striking or shield bashing to keep players from spamming it and locking a boss down (old kicking was changed because of this), and the strike would have a 3 second cooldown to keep players from spamming it so fast a bot can't do anything. This would benefit RG the most, seeing as how RG's typically always have a shield and a one hander. RG's would be able to utilize this change more than any other class, which I guess doesn't give it something special, but it does give it something over the other classes. An additional damage bonus (Edit: For RG) also wouldn't be too bad of an addition. I'm in favour of some form of this idea.
