Xfire(for recording)
Pluses:
Low requierments, less fps drain while recording as Fraps, has no problem recording in HD, free
Minuses:
very bad when it comes to recording with synchronised sound with video

fraps is a good programm for recording, and camtasia studio for editing

For recordings i also use Fraps and for editing I use After Effects
