Event Brainstorming and Suggestions #2 - Julianature - 06-02-2025
Hello dear community,
Now that the community is growing again, with more regular official events and increasing sign-up rates, I’d like to take the opportunity to hear your ideas for new events. This is the second edition of this discussion—Terath started a similar one several years ago: https://forum.nordinvasion.com/showthread.php?tid=73096
Of course, we can play Ragnarok every event, but we all enjoy a bit of variety from time to time. My personal goal this year is to organize one or two tournaments. Unfortunately, the current server situation is a bit complicated, which means it's not possible on EU servers at the moment. However, we're actively working on that!
Feel free to get creative with your ideas, even suggesting things that might not be feasible right now.
I’m excited to bring some of these ideas to life with you!

Scavenger event: You only start with a training weapon and recruit armor and have to try and finish a game. Deployable shields are allowed to make some kind of cading spot. Every wave is a respawn wave due to the lack of tomes, meaning only 1 person has to survive a wave in order to progress. No need to make it complicated with fresh characters. Any level or hero character is allowed. Weapons can be looted from Nord troops. Armor cannot as you can only spawn with training gear. Only difficulty might be the usual toming when there are dead players and only a boss left. Maybe some kind of “admin tome” that you get per 3 waves that you complete so players can “claim” it to respawn fallen soldiers.

I had an idea for official event that I think would be cool, It is simple Rag runs but you have to cade at spot where people never cade usually, and not directly in front of the bot spawn. That would allow players to play in unused side of map, and cleverly use them to their advantage by thinking how to set it up. It would have players think outside of the box and this would a bit of fresh air in the mod.

Trapped Caravan
Players must escort a supply wagon across the map. The Nords set up ambushes to destroy it. The wagon can be repaired but only using special resources found along the way.
Last Heroes
Each player has only one life. f they die, they cannot respawn but can spectate and give tactical advice to teammates.

to keep it simple: any kind of house event, where houses compete against each other in some kind of challenge (thinking of winters summer ragnarok challenge)

Fish/apple/pan PvP (food fight)?
Foot races? Could perform actions or pick up weapons as check points.
