Can somebody tell me one good reason why somebody should play a weak Pikemen. He falls in normal mode extremly fast. I dont get it, whats this class is good for >

IF and PS the same, Shield 1 point less but Athletics 1 point higher, Power throw and Polearm way higher as those are the weapon classes the Pikeman is going to use versus 2h and 1h higher for Commando. Seems fair enough.

You also have to bring the gear differences in. Pretty sure commandos get much better (but heavier) armour, weaponwise, they seem to be even.

Dont forget we dont have the same equipment, we running around with low class equipment (BodyArmor is 32/18, Headarmor is only 30, handarmor: 4; footarmor: 14)
I throw 3 javs than i got overunned in hard mode...

As I see it, you go pikeman for throwing and polearms and mobility, and get heavy inf to supplement your melee, or you go commando for sword and board/two handed and get skirmisher to supplement your mobility.
That said, this is one of the usefull threads on these boards, so keep discussing and bring suggestions. Nothing is set in stone.

why cant we use the swadian halbert? Why is a sun pike stronger than a thunder pike (Pikemen only)?

IF you use the best heavy inf armor u can get then its a bit higher: body 40/21, head 38, hand 4 and foot 22 but still very low...
but it looks stupid if you use a strange helmet with highlander stuff....

Yeah Skirmisher armor values can be upped a little IMO. Their best should be close to what Banded Mail Armor used to be.
