Would be [glow=red,2,300]cool[/glow] if this was put in the next update, it would make the game easier for ranged troops in some situations too

You can duck. Just aim at the ground w/ a 2 hander, bow, x-bow and such. You may have seen some players do this during ranged waves so that they don't get headshot

It could work if implemented in the same way Bear Force uses ducking
That is, you must actively hold down c to crouch (opening up text chat and letting go of c cancels the crouch)
Cos otherwise this would just make it easier for leechers to duck in a corner and go afk
