And it's a warhammer dwarf axe, not lotr

Looks fine from the scratch but i would love to see it with a normal and a spec map

Added a spear to my collection, obviously still a work in progress at you can tell from the very plain shaft.
*added a little pokey thing to the bottom of the spear and smoothed it up a bit.

I'd say a 5,5 m shaft should suffice.

~200 length if you want to see it ingame.

Or you could always try and upstage a sarissa...
