I would LOVE a fiendish bow, does anyone know who drops them? Also, if I kill the person with it from a ranged position, does it still have a chance to drop for me? Thanks, I'm new and appreciate the help.

For killing an enemy from range, you will get the drop chance, and anyone within your assist exp range will as well. The assist exp range is about the same range as a normal medic boxes range, if I recall correctly. Either that, or it was the surgeons kit range.

In short, whoever gets a kill is the locus of the assist range.

Found a Valsgarde on Caravan raid from a Sleipnir. Thanks everyone who helped, especially Hauskerl, Lollo and k4mi. We hit that bloody horse for ages.
