Steel Spangenhelm head armor value is 50, weight is 3.8.

I'm getting impression that Defender levels: 10, 12 & 13 are missing in the list of recipes (post #2)...

It's in common, below or called support, but it's avaible in the third if i am not wrong.

All of those Items are Common house crafting indeed. They are listed below the Support. First thing defender has of its own besides tools is at level 14.

overall a cool looking shield.. but compared to the Commando shield (Resilliance) its kind of low Health Based... maybe a little buff and this Shield is going to be used more often

Perfected Metal is 250 xp (increased from 175)
