I really want that damn slot opened up! Just make it so the support items can ONLY be put into the support slot, but allow people that don't have that option or don't wish to use it to equip proper weapons there. Three slots is hell.

I don't see how a ammo box is meaningless help out your archers refill quicker or even help the nurses get back their heals without running back. Helps the team a great deal just as a deployable shield does.
Back on topic. I have 2 characters so 2 loadouts.
Conqueror_Worm, Sniper Nyarla, Heavy Infantry/Nurse
War Bow Worm Bane
Bodkin Arrows Round Shield
Worm Bane Throwing Spears
Bodkin Arrows Small Medic Box
No head armor Khergit War Helmet
Khergit Lamellar Vest Studded Leather Coat
Leather Gloves Leather Gloves
Sarranid Mail Boots Splinted Leather Greaves
Sometimes put on the heaviest Sniper gear, but not very often. Prefer looking good
Nyarla is still leveling so going with some decent gear to get as most melee exp as possible.

The weapons differ a lot though, I like Morningstar and Iron Mace and Cursed Stones a lot too, and when I don't need melee experience anymore I will take my pony again
