Some people didnt like me looting my 3rd or 4th even tho my 1st took forever... Want to guess it was the same with you as it seems like you have had a good year.
A "true" random generator doesn't feel so random when you have enough people pulling the lever. That's my biggest problem with this and there is no easy fix.

and it was at 750 hours of play. another 750 for the second. and the rest is pure chance.

The loot comes unexpected. Just stop thinking about it and enjoy one you'll find in the inventory without even knowing when it came.
