No head armour is as expensive as any body armour to upgrade.
Like I said you can say the cost to upgrade a helm is equivalent to gloves just about. Gloves just give less armour and put that armour in a place that is less vulnerable.
You tell me why gloves should be as expensive as helms.

Because gloves upgrade increases your body armour value, only armour value could ever be usable for most classes/roles in NI.
And helm upgrade just gives you minor HP increase in case you being stuck in melee combat by the head, which I doubt happens with me even once after years of playing. And arrow into the haed, which is major death cause in NI, for it - your helm upgrade is irrelevant: 1 headshot anyway.

Most of NI community has brain damage that's why no one cares about head armour. No point in protecting something what's useless.

Upgrades are not only 'Kits', also another items. Which include Phoenix Feathers and similar expensive things.
