House crafting XP is character based iirc, so i suppose no.

I need to be honest. I like this moment. Seeing 16 players spawning naked. Trying to survive by sacrifices. Trying to get weapons and survive.

Yeah the devs have taken note of that and it should be fixed sometime soon most likely. In the meantime you can download the manual .zip archive for the patch, which works fine.
