Ah, yes, I've fixed that problem a while ago, didn't upload a screenie of the new version though... Maybe I should.

Re: Maroon's Modeling Corner - Maroon - 29-06-2013

A dev asking me 'pls'? D:
How can I deny?

Edit: Le new pictures:

The only real difference is the fact that the light saber effect is gone, but that's kind of all. :-\

Re: Maroon's Modeling Corner - Maroon - 30-06-2013

Now that I'm working on it again, I figured I might as well go on with it. Wink
Newer version!
This version is a lot less blue, so it should be more realistic. Also, I'm can't think of a good texture for the crossguard, so I've just made it standard metal now.

Re: Maroon's Modeling Corner - Senni - 30-06-2013

An idea to try:

Have a look at the King's Shield (NI_Senni.brf | knights shield or something like that).

It appears black ingame, but when viewed from an angle, it's blue.

You could try and do something like that, but with a blue tinted metal colour and a deep blue.
Might look pretty good.

Re: Maroon's Modeling Corner [Brisingr Update 30/6] - Maroon - 30-06-2013

Alrighty, another rather big update to Brisingr, I'll just list the general changes here:

  1. Changed the blade to by gray with a little bit of blue, instead of very blue
  2. Changed the specular map, to reflect blueish light from the blade and the crossguard
  3. Increased the blue Coeff in the brf file, resulting in more blue reflection
  4. Made the crossguard a lot darker

Overall, this makes the crossguard look like black steel, with a blueish reflection, while the blade keep looking blue, and very blue when the light shines on it. Overall, I'm quite proud I pulled it of. ^^
